Minnesota United Football Club (MNUFC) is a soccer league that represents the diversity of Minnesota and the Twin Cities, by being a community leader in advocacy with regularly held food pantry donations, youth clinics, and more.
This capsule was created to honor the importance of community activities like athletics for refugees’ integration into a new culture. The beneficiary of this capsule will be the Karen Football Association, a longtime nonprofit partner of Epimonia. Both the men’s and women’s teams at the Karen Football Association are comprised of refugees from Burma and Thailand. KFA also has multiple mentoring programs and pushes for more gender equity in athletics.
