Mohamed Hersi (Original Royal Refugee) and Mohamed Malim (Epimonia)
The two designers not only share the most common first name in the world; Mohamed, but also share much deeper similarities which is their backgrounds. Raised by immigrant parents that migrated to a different country after fleeing a war-torn Somalia during the civil war in 1990.
Original Royal Refugee, a high-end streetwear brand. His future goals coincide
with his past, to highlight the identity of the displaced refugees world-wide.
This collaboration is truly something special, two designers who at one point in their life had
their loved ones rejected and refused during times of true hardship, in life-or-death circumstances are today side by side for a special project. Tailored to perfection with concepts to hint at the possibilities and out-comes from a joint venture of individuals that were rejected for basic human rights at one point in their life. Take on a task to use their individual success for a powerful binding message to showcase the results of the once rejected Refugees.
