EPIMONIA X ALAKKUU: THE STORY OF DEEJA
Elias Yabarow, better known as Alakkuu, is a Somali-American poet and author behind Wet Grass Vanilla – a book of poetry that delves into the certain reactions one experiences through love. His book is currently being studied in High Schools across 6 different states. He’s performed in several different countries and has completed multiple US tours of his spoken word poetry where he campaigned for relief efforts in East Africa.

EPIMONIA will showcase their latest art exhibit, featuring products made from recycled life jackets worn by refugees during their journey to safety.
You'll have the opportunity to purchase these unique items, with a portion of the proceeds going towards supporting refugees.

He has given a Tedx Talk about his motherland, completed two U.S poetry tours to support relief efforts in East Africa, and has been covered by Forbes, Voice of America and BuzzFeed for his work.
ALAKKUU will be giving a live performance of an original piece.
